Makanna Schmitt grew up in Shelby, Nebraska. She attended Clarkson College in Omaha where she received her Physical Therapy Assistant degree. She is certified in lymphedema therapy with special interest in orthopedic recovery, geriatrics and pediatrics.

Makanna enjoys spending her free time with her husband Clayton and son Oliver, running, and going on road trips to her husband’s tractor pulls.
